Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you may have questions about our church, its beliefs, and practices. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions to help you learn more about Lethbridge First Baptist Church.

What are the church's service times?

Our Sunday services are held at 10:30 AM. We also offer Sunday School for adults at 9:15 AM, and children’s Sunday School (Grade 8 and under) and nursery for children under the age of two during the service.

What should I wear to a service?

We encourage you to come as you are. Our congregation dresses in a range of styles, from casual to business casual. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable.

Is there a program for children during services?

Yes! We have a dedicated children’s Sunday School that offers age-appropriate activities and lessons during our services for Grade 8 and under. Children join their parents for the first fifteen minutes of the service and are dismissed for Sunday School at that time. More details can be found on the Children’s Ministries page.

What can I expect on a Sunday morning?

If you have children with you who would like to participate in Sunday School during the service, we ask that you come fifteen minutes early to complete the parental consent forms and sign your child in. Children are dismissed for Sunday School fifteen minutes into the service.

Our service starts at 10:30 AM with worship in music, followed by worship in prayer, special music, church life updates, and teaching. You can expect a service length of about 60-65 minutes. Communion is served once a month.

How can I get involved in church activities?

There are numerous ways to get involved, from joining a small group to volunteering in one of our ministries. Check our Events calendar for more information on how to connect.

What does the church believe?

Lethbridge First Baptist Church is grounded in the teachings of the Bible and in faith in Jesus Christ. You can learn more about our beliefs on the ‘What We Believe’ page, which includes our Statement of Faith and affiliations.

How often do you do communion?

We practice communion together as a church on the first Sunday of every month. You can expect this service to trend a little longer than our usual services (about 70 minutes).

How can I contact the church?

You can reach us through the contact form on our website or by calling our office (403-327-2082) during business hours. Our contact information is available on the Contact page.
