We love our Lord. We love our city. We love being His people, in word and deed, in our community and around the world.
We value

Our Story
Since its beginning, Lethbridge First Baptist Church has had as a place in the heart of the city, a people actively building our community and growing in faith. Here are some key moments in our journey:
1901
Begun in the heart of the city
Lethbridge First Baptist (First B) began in 1901 in the town of Coalbanks, AB, which became the city of Lethbridge in 1906.
1953

The Fire
The church has been located at three different locations in downtown Lethbridge, one of which burned down in 1953. For two years after the fire, church services were held at the Paramount Theatre.
1954-1955
The current location
Our current building was built in 1954 and officially opened in 1955.
1975
Expanding
The building was expanded for further Christian education and Sunday school in 1975.
2001
Growing again
Another addition for office and gathering space was added in 2005.

Today

A heart for the city
We would love for First B to be seen as a place where can experience an atmosphere of warmth and welcome, as well as a hunger and thirst to know God deeper through study, community, outreach, and hospitality. We have a heart to practice our faith in a way that is relevant and active within our city.
