A Note from Council about COVID Protocols
August 31, 2021
First Baptist Church Council called a special meeting on August 30, to discuss safety protocols for reopening church activities in the Fall of 2021. Council’s primary concern is the safety of staff, volunteers, and participants in the many activities which we hope to offer in the 2021-2022 school year.
As a result of our discussions, and based upon the most recent information from Alberta Health Services about best safety practices and currently rising COVID numbers, the following decisions were made:
- All staff and volunteers working with minors are required to be fully vaccinated.
- All individuals, ages 4 and up, participating in indoor Sunday School, Youth events, and small group activities at First Baptist Church, and parents/guardians entering the church to drop off or pick up children from such activities, must wear a mask inside the building. Masks will be available at the church for those in need of one.
- All individuals participating in church events are encouraged to wash their hands often and/or make use of hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is available in many locations throughout the church building.
- As has been the case throughout this pandemic, we ask that anyone showing symptoms of COVID (as per the Alberta Health Daily check list) NOT enter the building.
Church Council has asked our staff members to adhere to the above protocols with any of their programs until further notice. Should you have questions or require further information, please direct your queries to the Church Council at email@example.com and use the subject line ‘Attention Church Council’.
The individuals serving on Church Council care about both your spiritual and your physical health. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring that First Baptist Church is a safe environment for all who are involved in our programs!
